Today, November 27, 2015 we shut down the Magnificent Mile as we marched and protested the unjust murder of Laquan McDonald and others by the hands of Chicago police. Of course not all cops are racists or corrupt. As we continue to use our constitutional rights to peaceably assemble and petition the government for a redress of grievances let us keep in mind our responsibilities to our communities. It's on us to create, develop and implement mentoring programs for at-risk youth. It's on us to provide summer and after school jobs for our youth. It's on us to fight for City and State Contracts. The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die. Keep hope alive!
